The Orbit VP50 Veterinary Infusion Pump is a compact, versatile and easy-to-use infusion pump designed specifically for veterinary applications. It provides controlled delivery of fluids and medications and is suitable for use across a wide range of veterinary clinical environments.

With a flow rate range of 0.10–1500 mL/h, the Orbit VP50 provides flexible infusion control for veterinary patients of different sizes and treatment requirements. The pump also incorporates drip mode, allowing the infusion rate to be configured in drops per minute when used with a compatible infusion set and drip sensor.

The Orbit VP50 provides several operating modes to suit different veterinary infusion requirements.

Rate Mode allows the operator to set any two of Rate, VTBI and Time, with the pump automatically calculating the remaining parameter.

Time Mode allows the required VTBI and infusion time to be entered, with the pump calculating the required flow rate.

Body Weight Mode allows dose-based infusion calculations using patient body weight, drug concentration, dose rate and VTBI.

Drip Mode allows the operator to set the required drop rate, with the pump calculating the corresponding flow rate and infusion time according to the selected infusion set specification.

Infusion Set Calibration Service

For applications where infusion accuracy is particularly important, Vet360 Supplies offers an optional calibration service to the specific infusion set used by your practice.

Infusion sets can vary in their internal dimensions and flow characteristics, so the Orbit VP50 can be calibrated for the particular infusion set specification being used.

You have two options:

Send us the infusion set you use for calibration, or
Ask us to source the required infusion set for you for an additional charge.

The infusion set must be available before calibration can be completed.

Please select the calibration option when ordering if you require this service. Calibration may add approximately 1–2 working days to order processing.

If you regularly use a particular infusion set, we recommend having the pump calibrated to that specification before clinical use.

Safety and Monitoring

The Orbit VP50 incorporates a range of monitoring and alarm functions designed to help identify potential problems during infusion, including occlusion, high pressure, air bubbles, drip errors, door opening and battery status.

The pump should always be operated by appropriately trained veterinary personnel and the infusion site and infusion system should be regularly monitored during use.
