VICRYL™ PLUS Undyed USP 4-0 (VCP496ZH) is manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated with triclosan, providing broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against common surgical-site pathogens. This antibacterial coating helps inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture, supporting a reduced risk of surgical site infection compared with standard braided sutures.

As a standard absorbable VICRYL™ suture (not RAPIDE), it typically retains approximately 50% tensile strength at 2–3 weeks, with complete absorption occurring within 56–70 days. This predictable absorption profile makes it suitable for procedures requiring reliable wound support throughout the early healing phase.

The USP 4-0 size is ideal for finer skin and superficial soft tissue approximation where precision and handling are critical. The undyed suture minimises tissue marking and supports improved cosmetic outcomes. The braided construction ensures excellent handling characteristics and dependable knot security.
