PDS™ PLUS Undyed USP 4-0 (PDP9950H) is manufactured from polydioxanone (PDS) and coated with triclosan, providing broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against common surgical-site pathogens. This antibacterial coating helps inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture, supporting a reduced risk of surgical site infection compared with non-antibacterial monofilament sutures.

As a long-term absorbable monofilament suture, PDS™ PLUS retains a high proportion of tensile strength over an extended period, with gradual absorption typically completed by approximately 180 days. This profile makes it particularly suitable for procedures requiring prolonged wound support while minimising tissue reaction.

The USP 4-0 size is ideal for fine, precise closures where minimal tissue trauma and cosmetic outcomes are important. The undyed monofilament construction reduces tissue drag and resists bacterial wicking, complementing the antibacterial coating for improved wound healing.
