PDS PLUS violet USP 4-0 is a monofilament, absorbable surgical suture manufactured from polydioxanone and coated with triclosan to inhibit bacterial colonisation along the suture line. It is engineered to retain tensile strength for a prolonged period compared with faster-absorbing absorbable sutures, making it suitable for veterinary procedures requiring long-term wound support in delicate tissue structures. The monofilament construction provides smooth tissue passage, low tissue drag, and minimal capillarity, supporting consistent handling and reliable knot security.
