MONOCRYL PLUS undyed USP 5-0 is a monofilament, absorbable surgical suture manufactured from poliglecaprone 25 and coated with triclosan to inhibit bacterial colonisation along the suture line. It is engineered for rapid tensile strength loss and absorption compared with longer-term absorbable sutures, making it particularly suitable for veterinary procedures where short-term wound support and rapid tissue healing are clinically appropriate. The monofilament construction provides smooth tissue passage, low tissue drag, and reduced capillarity, supporting consistent handling and secure knot formation.

The undyed (natural) colour is preferred where minimal visual presence within the surgical field is required. Supplied at a length of 70cm, this fine-calibre USP 5-0 suture is ideal for delicate veterinary skin, superficial soft tissue, and subcutaneous closures where precision is critical. The 13mm 3/8 circle Reverse Cutting Prime needle features a cutting edge on the outer curvature, enabling controlled penetration through skin and fibrous tissue while reducing the risk of tissue cut-out.
