Description

MONOCRYL PLUS violet USP 2-0 is a monofilament, absorbable surgical suture manufactured from poliglecaprone 25 and coated with triclosan to inhibit bacterial colonisation along the suture line. It is engineered for rapid tensile strength loss and absorption compared with longer-term absorbable sutures, making it well suited to veterinary procedures where short-term wound support and predictable healing are clinically required. The monofilament construction offers smooth tissue passage, low tissue drag, and reduced capillarity, supporting consistent handling and secure knot formation.

The violet colour enhances intraoperative visibility, particularly within deeper or less well-illuminated tissue planes, aiding accurate placement and suture control. Supplied at a length of 70cm, this USP 2-0 suture is appropriate for a wide range of veterinary soft tissue and subcutaneous closure applications.
