MONOCRYL PLUS undyed USP 5-0 is a monofilament, absorbable surgical suture manufactured from poliglecaprone 25 and coated with triclosan to inhibit bacterial colonisation along the suture line. It is engineered for rapid tensile strength loss and predictable absorption compared with longer-term absorbable sutures, making it particularly suitable for veterinary procedures where short-term wound support and efficient tissue healing are clinically required. The monofilament construction provides smooth tissue passage, low tissue drag, and reduced capillarity, supporting consistent handling and secure knot formation.

The undyed (natural) colour is preferred where minimal visual presence of the suture material is desirable within the surgical field. Supplied at a length of 45cm, this fine-calibre USP 5-0 suture is ideal for procedures where a shorter working length improves control and efficiency, particularly in fine skin and superficial soft tissue closure.
