Description

G9 Instrument Disinfectant is a concentrated solution designed for the manual disinfection of veterinary instruments, endoscopes, burs and endodontic equipment prior to sterilisation.

Formulated without chlorides or PHMB, it offers excellent material compatibility across a wide range of surfaces including stainless steel, aluminium, copper, silicone rubber and HDPE. The disinfectant provides broad-spectrum efficacy against bacteria, yeasts, mycobacteria (including tuberculosis) and viruses, including enveloped and non-enveloped viruses such as Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV, Adenovirus and Norovirus.

Its economical concentrate format allows dilution at low ratios (2% or 4%), making it a cost-effective solution for routine instrument decontamination workflows in veterinary and clinical environments.

Application

Add 40ml (±1ml) per 960ml water to create a 4% solution.

To achieve full efficacy, use a 4% solution with a 15-minute contact time.

After disinfection, rinse instruments thoroughly with RO or distilled water before further processing and sterilisation. Always follow the manufacturer’s reprocessing instructions.

The working solution remains effective for up to 7 days.

Microbiological Testing

Effective against a broad range of pathogens including:

- Bacteria (incl. MRSA, E. coli, Salmonella, VRE)
- Yeasts (Candida albicans)
- Mycobacteria (incl. Mycobacterium terrae, Mycobacterium avium)
- Enveloped viruses (including HIV, Hepatitis B & C, Influenza, Coronavirus, Ebola)
- Non-enveloped viruses (including Norovirus)

Contact times: 15 minutes at 2%–4% dilution depending on organism group.
