Ethicon VICRYL RAPIDE™ Undyed USP 3-0 (W9935) is a well-established fast-absorbing absorbable suture engineered for procedures requiring reliable wound approximation over a short healing period. Manufactured from polyglactin 910, this braided synthetic suture provides predictable absorption and excellent handling characteristics.

VICRYL RAPIDE™ is designed to retain approximately 50% of its tensile strength at 5 days, with minimal strength remaining by 14 days, and complete absorption typically occurring within 42 days. This rapid absorption profile reduces the need for suture removal, supporting improved patient comfort and simplified post-operative care—particularly advantageous in veterinary patients.

The undyed suture material minimises tissue marking and supports improved cosmetic outcomes. The braided construction ensures secure knot placement and consistent handling. Supplied with a 22 mm conventional cutting needle (1/2 circle), this configuration is well suited for skin and tougher tissues, offering controlled penetration and cutting efficiency.
