Ethicon VICRYL RAPIDE™ Undyed USP 3-0 (W9932) is a fast-absorbing absorbable suture engineered for procedures where temporary wound support and reduced follow-up intervention are desirable. Manufactured from polyglactin 910, this braided synthetic suture offers reliable handling, secure knot placement, and a predictable absorption profile.

VICRYL RAPIDE™ retains approximately 50% tensile strength at 5 days, with minimal strength remaining by 14 days, and is typically fully absorbed within 42 days. This rapid loss of tensile strength helps minimise prolonged foreign material in tissue and can reduce the need for suture removal—particularly advantageous in veterinary patients.

The undyed suture material supports reduced tissue marking and improved cosmetic outcomes. Its braided construction ensures excellent handling and knot security. Supplied with a 26 mm Reverse Cutting Prime needle (3/8 circle), this configuration is optimised for skin and tougher tissues, providing precise penetration with reduced risk of cut-out compared to conventional cutting needles.
