Ethicon VICRYL RAPIDE™ Undyed USP 3-0 (W9927) is engineered for procedures requiring reliable wound approximation with predictable, short-term tissue support. Manufactured from polyglactin 910, this braided synthetic absorbable suture offers excellent handling characteristics, secure knot placement, and a fast absorption profile.

VICRYL RAPIDE™ retains approximately 50% tensile strength at 5 days, with minimal remaining strength by 14 days, and is typically fully absorbed within 42 days. This rapid absorption profile reduces the duration of foreign material in tissue and can minimise or eliminate the need for suture removal—particularly beneficial in veterinary patients and outpatient procedures.

The undyed suture material helps reduce tissue marking and supports improved cosmetic outcomes. Its braided structure ensures dependable knot security and consistent handling. Supplied with a 22 mm conventional cutting PC needle (1/2 circle), this configuration is well suited for skin and firmer tissues, providing efficient penetration and controlled cutting performance.
