Manufactured from polyglactin 910, this braided synthetic absorbable suture delivers excellent handling characteristics, secure knot placement, and a fast absorption profile.

VICRYL RAPIDE™ retains approximately 50% tensile strength at 5 days, with minimal remaining strength by 14 days, and is typically fully absorbed within 42 days. This rapid absorption profile helps minimise prolonged foreign material in tissue and can reduce or eliminate the need for suture removal—particularly advantageous in veterinary patients and outpatient settings.

The USP 4-0 suture size is optimised for fine tissue work and improved cosmetic outcomes. The undyed suture material minimises tissue marking, while the braided construction ensures consistent handling and dependable knot security. Supplied with a 16 mm conventional cutting PC needle (3/8 circle), this configuration provides efficient penetration and precise control in small or confined surgical sites.
