As a standard absorbable VICRYL™ suture (not RAPIDE), it offers longer tensile strength retention, making it suitable for procedures requiring sustained wound support during healing.

VICRYL™ typically retains approximately 50% tensile strength at 2–3 weeks, with complete absorption occurring within 56–70 days. This controlled absorption profile is advantageous for fine tissue work where prolonged approximation is beneficial.

The USP 6-0 size is optimised for ultra-fine closures and high-precision work. The violet coloration enhances visibility against tissue, supporting accurate placement in delicate operative fields. Its braided construction ensures consistent handling and secure knot placement.
