PDS™ PLUS Undyed USP 2-0 (PDP9626H) is manufactured from polydioxanone (PDS) and coated with triclosan, providing broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against common surgical-site pathogens. The antibacterial coating helps inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture, supporting a reduced risk of surgical site infection compared with non-antibacterial sutures.

As a long-term absorbable monofilament suture, PDS™ PLUS retains significant tensile strength for an extended period, with gradual absorption typically completed by approximately 180 days. This makes it particularly suitable for closures requiring sustained wound support, including deeper soft tissue and areas subject to ongoing tension.

The USP 2-0 size offers increased tensile strength for moderate- to higher-tension closures. The undyed monofilament construction minimises tissue drag and reduces tissue reaction, while also resisting bacterial wicking—complementing the antibacterial coating.

Supplied with a 26 mm Reverse Cutting Prime needle (3/8 circle), this configuration is optimised for skin and firmer tissue closure, providing precise penetration with enhanced edge strength and reduced risk of tissue cut-out. The 70 cm strand length allows flexibility for deeper operative fields and longer closure runs.
