PDS PLUS violet USP 3-0 is a monofilament, absorbable surgical suture manufactured from polydioxanone and coated with triclosan to inhibit bacterial colonisation along the suture line. It is engineered to maintain tensile strength for a prolonged period compared with faster-absorbing absorbable sutures, making it suitable for veterinary procedures where sustained wound approximation and predictable long-term absorption are clinically important.
